How to Display the Contents of Your DNS Cache

Q. - What is DNS?

A. - DNS is the backbone of the Internet. Without DNS resolution, browsing the Internet would be very difficult. At times you may have trouble browsing sites and it could be caused by a DNS problem. Below is how you can see the contents of your Computer DNS cache.

  1. Click on the Start Menu.
  2. Click on 'Run...'
  3. Type 'cmd' without quotes and press Enter.
  4. At the command prompt, type 'ipconfig /displaydns' (without quotes). You should see something similar to the screenshot below:
